Bluebonnets are the color of Texas

Folks come to the Hill Country for the rocky heights and rivered depths, the feeling of the road racing away like the passage of time, and the crest of the hill a gateway to mystery.

And in very special Springtimes, for living blue blanketing the roadsides.

The blue is fading now but we remember the hue of March.

  1. These are so lovely! Seeing masses of blue bonnets this way always makes we wish I'd spent more time driving out to enjoy the displays west of Austin. And, every year I promise..."next year!".

I'll be back swooning over these images again and again.

  2. Our roadsides have the prettiest wildflowers ever. The blues may have gone but now it's the yellows.

  3. I love the Hill Country in spring!

  4. I'm glad all of you down there shared this amazing wildflower year. Not bad here either, just no rivered depths!

My readers are all geniuses. Can't wait to see what you have to say.
