I can always count on you to photograph even birds perfectly and close-up! The variety in your neck of the woods is amazing!

Once more I'm consumed with bird envy. I do get a ladderback woodpecker working our trees on occasion, but he is way too shy for me to ever get a great shot like yours. As to the other colorful cast of characters here, what a bright and cheery reward they are providing for your chances to peek out the window.

I'd have a hard time getting anything done with such a display outside. Do these little guys have a sweet song? We mostly get crowds of mouthy white winged doves milling about, constantly asking "who cooks for you?"!

Hi Kathleen,
Wonderful pictures - again! It's not only in the Hill Country, but down here 55 miles south of SA, that the birds [and other wild and domestic animals] need their water. Unfortunately I haven't been able to take pictures yet.
Have a good one,
Pit

Great photos Kathleen. It's good to see the birds enjoying your birdbath.

What a great array of birds in the garden.
Here in the UK a lot of the more unusual wild bird population seem to be in decline and most gardens are now full of starlings, wood pigeons and in some areas seagulls.
Yours are great looking birds

Beautiful pics! That red is so intense and I can't believe how colorful the last one is.
