Mom Knows the Difference

Last weekend I went to my folks' house to help Mom prepare for a family gathering.  She'd sprained her foot a few days before and the doctor had immobilized it in a bulky black boot with enough straps to secure a rocket to the launchpad.

That didn't stop her from going to HEB,  where she hopped on a motorized cart and we came home loaded.  But when food prep started, there was a glitch.
"Mom, I can do this, why don't you go sit down?"

"Mom, really, go put your foot up."

"Mother, you don't listen very well."

She turned around and grinned.

"I listen fine.  I just don't mind very well."

And she wonders where her daughters got their Texas streaks...

Doesn't Mom have the best smile?------------->

  1. Beautiful lady. Pretty courageous to go near a grocery store during the holiday season and to have to be in a motorized cart. Hope she feels better soon:)

  2. Your mom is beautiful.

Most of us, with Texas streaks, come by them my Momma would say.

Hope her foot is better real soon.

  3. Great smile!

I gave up trying to convince my 80 year old mother to do anything she doesn't want to do. It's a lost cause. We kids just have to live with it.

  4. Kathleen dear, your Mom is a sweetheart, she is beautiful and she has a great smile. It is so lovely that you two are such good friends.
    xoxoxo ♡

  5. She is so beautiful. I can see where you get it from now! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

My readers are all geniuses. Can't wait to see what you have to say.
