Serendipity 6-17-09

I'm starting an occasional series of images, pictures I loved as soon as I got them out of my camera. No theme, just interest. If you have one you'd like to share, post it on your blog and leave a comment here. I'll add your link to this post.

Here's my visual serendipity:

  1. Kathleen,
I love the entwined spirals in the stems of the glasses. It reminds me of the celtic knots found in the Book of Kells. Here is an interesting site with examples and a short history of knot theory, whatever that is!

  2. There's alot to contemplate here. I especially like the reflection in the glasses and the gull by the water. Was this taken in Texas?

  3. Hi Sharon & Beth, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I like getting new perspective. Sharon, I hadn't thought of a celtic knot connection to the spirals in the glass but it makes sense--the idea that life is vitally interwoven. Thanks for the link.

Beth, you have sharp eyes. I wondered if anyone would pick up the gull in the background...should have known you'd be looking for the story in the picture. It's from our Florida time, a celebration of beauty both natural and man-made.

My readers are all geniuses. Can't wait to see what you have to say.
